Deanna attended the culinary arts program at TCC and graduated at the top of her class. Deanna began her TCC journey without a job and two young children to care for. As a result of Deanna’s education and experience at TCC, she was able to find employment at the campus cafe. She would work all day and go to school at night. She used the afternoon to study and visit with students. It was difficult for Deanna to constantly be away from her family, but they encouraged her to complete her degree. One year after graduation, Deanna is now the Catering and Retail Manager for Chesapeake Regional Hospital.
